I was a Kiss (and Ace) fan before a Stones fan... I loved that record!!! I remember seeing the writing credit for Jagger/Richards and wondering who they were... young and dumb.. not to mention my folks weren't in to the rock and or roll...

IMO, that little run of 4 cannot be topped for Rock-n-roll. Every track off those 4 kicks arse.

Exile on Main St. has risen to the top for me over the past few years.
It's not really a concept album, but every song just seems to flow one after the other. I can't count the number of times I've listened to it straight through.

Behind Sgt. Pepper's, Exile is the 2nd greatest album of all time. Some would argue Pet Sounds, but I prefer Exile.

The dude really helped carry the band through the early 70's. He should've gotten more songwriting credit due to his work on SF, GHS, and IORR. Keith didn't play guitar on any of these songs - all Taylor on lead/rhythm with Jagger on some rhythm: Sway, Moonlight Mile, Stop Breaking Down, Shine A Light, 100 Years Ago, Coming Down Again, Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo, Hide your Love, Winter, Can You Hear The Music.

Billy Preston was a great addition to the '73 tour as well as the following '75, '76 and '77 shows.

that is the album that caused me to love the stones. I only knew their late 80s cheesy shite.
