Both have strong voices, that's honestly more preference than anything.
Both write their songs and melodies.
Lady gaga can sing, dance, and play piano.
What other than sit there and sing can Adele do? She's not much of a live performer. She just kinda sits there.
Like VOR has said a few times, they are different styles.
Adele's songs are built around her vocal talents. It's more singer/songwriter than full on pop show.
Gaga uses her talents to go more theatrical with her music. She wants the full audio/visual experience for her audience.
Both do a great job with the tools they have. Neither one is inherently better than the other. Just a matter of taste. De gustibus non est disputandum

I prefer Adele's music over lady gagas of course.
However, lady gaga is absolutely more musically talented than Adele. Not sure how anyone could argue that when Adele doesn't even play an instrument.

Well, I guess you just have a narrow window in which to consider talent. I consider singing a talent.
Who is more talented, Jimmy Page, Bernie Taupin or Frank Sinatra?

Musically talented?
Jimmy page

Your head is utterly and completely (and, I fear, unalterably) stuck up your arse on this subject. You are demonstrating a complete lack of music comprehension and talent evaluation. You are comparing apples and oranges and, worse, trying to reduce the comparison to the simplicity of a fifth grader. They are both talented performers who employ different styles. It makes no sense to declare one more "musically talented". They do different things. Again, I understand that you have friends who are musicians. Perhaps they can explain it to you (unless they local yokel adolescent wannabes).

Serious jazz and stage band trombone for years. Drums for a rock band (not anymore). Piano and guitar for fun. How about you, sport?

I think where TheDoc is confused the distinction between entertainer or showman and musician.

Page. Not purely for his guitar playing though.

I see what you're saying...they're all different. At the same time though, I still think Page is the 'most talented'
I love Sinatra. One of my favorites. But he just sang...majority of his songs were written by others.
Taupin really isn't my style but he's damn talented.
Page is great. He's a pretty damn good guitar player. As far as pure 'skill' goes he isn't the best because he can get sloppy as hell at times but he's as versatile as they come. What sets him apart in my book is his producing skills. Listen to older Zeppelin compared to other records from that era. His production work was un-friggin-real.

So should the question be who does more things?

Yep. Stefanie is Gaga, but Gaga isn't necessarily Stefani. I think he believes because she plays a mean piano that she has to be more talented.
I threw Sinatra and Taupin in there with Page to see what he would say and he may be right, but Taupin was an immensely talented man who wrote, performed music, poetry etc. Broadway stuff, and collaborated with Elton John. I think these choices are WAY more subjective than the Doc believes, I guess.

As others have said, there is no way to measure it.

I'm a big fan of BOTH these talented women. I have to say, though, that if one had to die in a plane crash I would prefer it to be Adele.
I just think that Lady Gaga is far and away a more important musical celebrity than Adele. Gaga's comparisons to Madonna are fair, I suppose, but Madonna is the biggest female pop star of all time, so that's no small accomplishment. Anyway, Gaga is a far better singer than Madonna ever was, and is not that far behind Adele on that score, if at all.

Guitar for 10 years and bass for 17

Well shite, there goes a lot of written definitions of "musician" out the window.
