Adele just "retired" from music. Take that however you want to.
She's a flash in the pan as far as mainstream goes And I've been listening to her since 2007. I remember finding her music on MySpace and being a fan.

Madonna has been putting out crappy music for way too long as well. She should have retired over a decade ago.
Problem with persona's like lady Gaga, her whole act depends on it. People get tired of it pretty quickly.

Exactly, and a persona like Gaga can only last so long. She will have to remake her character and music to continue to be anything 3-5 years from now. People will tire of the schtick and the music before long, you can't remain static in pop music these days.

And you are way off about the retirement. New song at the end of the year and new album in 2 years. About the same time between 19 and 21 minus the massive touring and time off after surgery. Also why does she need that much time? To write her own songs.

You're being silly and argumentative. GaGa studied piano and plays it well. Better than Adele (I assume; I've never seen that particular battle of the female pop stars). So what? That means she's "better than Adele"? They do different things and have different styles.
