He's wearing custom-molded in-ear monitors, for Pete's sake.
I've been a gigging drummer for 30 years and I've used custom in-ear molds since probably 2008 or so. Farrell's wife's excuse is bullshite, especially for a professional band at this level using pro equipment and a pro touring crew. When you're on stage with in-ears, ambient stage volume from amps and drums is a non-issue. If you can't hear yourself or if a particular instrument is too loud, you turn that instrument down in your monitor mix and/or turn yourself up until you can hear yourself comfortably, especially if you have "tinnitus and a sore throat every night". This is what a soundcheck is for. Jeez

Farrell is hooked on Opioids, has been for years
his wife is thirsty and is pissed because the band voted against her and her co-horts dancing onstage so she is on the sidelines for this tour
Perry was messing with his in ear monitors control board the entire song and got lost in the lyrics of Ocean Size, singing the wrong words and not making any sense
so Navarro goes over and tells Perry he is going to take the last solo now, and then the rest of the band get back on track. Perry gets pissed off and shoulders Navarro, has words with Navarro and shite hits the fan after that
in the clip you can see Navarro's face the entire song and how much trouble they were having following Perry in the song. That song has a bunch of breaks and stops in it and Perry leads the band cues instead of the band leading Perry

I know there are far more important things happening in this world, but this really did sadden me. I didn't care about their last two albums and rarely listen nowadays, but those first three will always be in my heart. Breaking up again sucks, but I especially hate for it to happen this way. Get better, Perry.

I was at that tour with the chicks dancing up on the 2nd level. It was wild. I’ve never seen anything like it at a live rock show. And Jane’s sounded awesome the whole show.
Perry looks and sounds messed up. Very sad.
This doesn’t sound like a break up. I think the band wants to continue but Perry has to get through or over whatever is going on with him.

I certainly hope so! Again, I'm not that optimistic about their new music. But maybe one more song and a group hug, cheesy as it sounds. I would hate things to end this way.

Very telling, right? Shoehorning her way into Satellite Party, and then on the cover of PF's 2019 release. Not blaming her for Perry's problems, but I doubt she helps much.
