Nashville’s renowned Music City Walk of Fame will be reopening next month following extensive renovations. To mark the occasion, there will be an official ribbon-cutting event featuring the walk’s newest inductees: Jack White and Loretta Lynn.
I am surprised that Loretta Lynn wouldn't already be a member of the Walk of Fame in Nashville.

To the comment above about country.
"About the Walk of Fame
The Music City Walk of Fame on Nashville's Music Mile is a landmark tribute to those from all genres of music who have contributed to the world through song or other industry collaboration and made a significant contribution to the music industry with connection to Music City."
The walk of fame is not just related to country music. Jack White has certainly had an impact on the overall music industry in Nashville.
I like that he is being inducted with Loretta Lynn. They have some nice collaborations together. I agree, that I was shocked she wasn't already inducted.

Jack has more actual country songs than Florida-Georgia Line or any of the other crap shite coming out of Nashville these days.

The Walk's member list is pretty eclectic. I'm on board just for his pic on their website.

He's lived in Nashville for years and records there. He's pretty visible on the Nashville scene, at least half of everybody I know that's lived in Nashville has a story about crossing paths with him at some point.

Just about every White Stripes album and both solo albums have country or country-inspired songs. If ever decided to do a full blown country album, it would dominate the genre.

Nashville is hell of lot more than just country
