Yeah, because he's the one who signed them, like a dumb arse.

Yes. His stranglehold over the HOF clinches it.

The story goes though that when they were presented with the record deal they had Stu’s dad look it over because he was a lawyer and he didn’t raise any concerns about it. When it came time to dissolve the band, everyone was let out of the contract but John. He had to trade all of his future publishing for his release.

Again, what is a douchebag?

Douchebaggery? John Fogerty complaining about a deal he signed on advice of a lawyer. Later the band's money was deposited in an uninsured bank that went broke. The label owner's money was put into an insured bank.

Douchebaggery: Neil Diamond attending the funeral of his label owner/publisher Bert Berns, and during the eulogy going up to Berns' widow to try to get his release from his contract.

He came across as surprisingly mellowed in his interview with Adam Corolla. Roger Waters (a musical hero of mine) narrowly beats on Sting and Bono imho.

I would say it’s a tie for 1st place as the absolute biggest douchebag/a-hole/self-absorbed/arrogant/greedy prick ever.

The top spot:

1. Axl Rose/Gene Simmons

- I’ve never seen two bigger jerkoffs in my life. Both are the epitome of the “the world should worship me and forever stroke my gigantic ego” dickhead rock stars. Both are probably just as arrogant and greedy as the other. King frickface Gene Simmons has just had more practice.

The others:

2. Don Henley
3. Billy Joel
4. Bono
5. Liam Gallagher
6. David Crosby
7. Neil Young
8. Jon Bon Jovi
9. Bobby Blotzer
10. Sebastian Bach

.....In my opinion...

Nope, and I'm changing my vote. I forgot about Phil Spector and Gary Glitter.

Levon was the heart and soul of The Band I don't think anyone would argue that and RR probably has always and will always resent that.

Is he a prick, most likely, was Levon innocent or naive in the situation most definitely not.

One article said Fogarty may have lost 100 million dollars from that shite. I'd be pissed, too.

We have this thread a lot.

I think folks hate on Robbie Robertson and Roger Waters A LOT, because that hatred is well-earned.

For Americans, I think the partnership of Don Henley and Glenn Frey (RIP) is way, way up there, too.

Legends in the "Complete a-hole Hall of Fame", for sure.

Keep hearing Henley. What's the story there?

Go watch the Eagles documentary that aired on Showtime (think it's on Netflix now). Henley and Frye come across so completely full of themselves. It's almost endearing.

Seriously, and thats not even the most fricked up part. When his brother Tom was on his deathbed and John tried to bury the hatchet and say his goodbyes, his brother told him his best friend in the entire world was the man that fricked John out of his publishing. If you don’t know the extent of the animosity between John and Saul Zaentz, you have to understand that not only did he frick John out of his publishing, he actually sued John in court for essentially sounding like himself on one of his solo records. If there is anyone in the world that had reason to be a bitter a-hole, it’s John Fogerty.

Let's start with firing Don Felder. I would also bet he is the main force behind any reaction video or other type of video even vaguely sounding like their music (like Rick Beato's channel to name an obvious one) being blocked on YouTube.
