Merle Haggard. I wonder how it would feel to write and sing 35 number one country hits.

You know, there is no right or wrong this is personal opinion.

The funny thing is that all these Prince haters don't realize that with rare exception, their favorite musician will go on and on like a fanboy about how Prince was the goat. Because in a lot of cases, tthey jammed with him once or twice, and embarrassed themselves trying to hang with him.

John Lennon yesterday, not during my life's time, so he could write 'Oops' (there's a heaven) and save a 100,000 souls.

Hands down! I can’t imagine life as Diamond Dave circa 1978-1983. There were literally no boundaries. Life as the frontman for Van Halen would have been unreal!

I'm gonna have to go with the people who said Prince and Frank Sinatra. Robert Plant would be another good choice. Early '80s Vince Neil.

This is the best answer. There are a lot of guitar players/singers/ writers that I really like, but I wouldn't want to be them, even for just a day. I would rather just borrow bits and pieces from all of them and try to put it all together, in my own way. I like what I do mostly, even if nobody else does.
..now, if I had to pick somebody, I think I would pick Dick Dale, because I would really like to be able to play surf style guitar, and that's something that eludes me. With my luck though, I would forget everything the next day.

"Prince, because I'd love to know what it feels like to be the best all around musician that ever lived"

Why would you have to be Prince in order to ask Todd Rundgren a question about musicianship?

I almost went with him over Elvis. Not only was he incredibly talented but he also has a pretty impressive list of conquests.

Sheena Easton, Kim Bassinger, Vanity, Sheila E...and no telling who else that we don't know about.

Prince was as gay as Bill Clinton is. You don't even see those BS inquirer articles about him being gay-because everyone knows he was hetero.
