This is the version (c. 1963) that HH copied 2 yrs later, Nice guitar solo



There is an almost Ramonesesque vibe to this: throw out the verses and reduce it to 2 chords

I believe George Harrison was a fan of Joe Brown

Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones performed on a few of the Herman's Hermits songs as session musicians (pre Zep). Robert plant needled JPJ about this when he was giving his acceptance speech the night Zep was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. JPJ whistled and twiddled his thumbs as if he wasn't paying attention to Plant. lol
