With all that said. Both of these bands have been a huge part of my life and I can't thank them both enough for that. I saw both bands for the first time on the same day so I think that has a pretty big part on why I put them 1a and 1b in my book. Was quite the experience

do you really think Panic sucks? Is it cool now for Phish fans to hate Panic and vice versa? I'll never understand all this new hatred and competition between 2 great bands. Having a strong allegiance to your favorite band is what music is all about, but don't let Phish cloud your judgement on how good of a band Panic really is... whether you truly like them or not.
even as a long time Phish fan, I for one am looking forward to seeing Panic at Jazzfest. I saw them at UNO-LFA in 2000 for the first time... they blew me away when they played Hatfield. Thats just one of many great songs any music fan can enjoy by WSP.
but in my opinion... nothing can top a Harry Hood, Fluffhead, or a Bowie. ect

I never said I hated on panic, I just prefer phish.
Also if you have people you live with who play the same band nonstop it will dampen your opinion on them. And when I mean nonstop I mean Nonstop. Maybe one or two songs in between but then right back to panic and it's not like they had every concert ever recorded maybe 4 gigs of panic.
At least it was better than my high school friends who played Dave Matthew Band nonstop, and some 311 mixed in there.

Is it really the same Panic without Houser? I never got to see a show with him because I was still in Jr. High.

Yikes! I used to love Dave in the early 90s, but I don't ever listen to him anymore. I haven't seen him in a long long time. How are his shows now a days?

No it's not but it's still a great show. I love Herring. On a technical scale he blows Houser out of the water, but good lord it was like floating in a sea of musical notes when Mikey got going. I loved his style and he was one of the nicest people I ever had the pleasure to kick it with. Them boys like to drink! haha

I couldn't tell you haven't listened in probably 6 years., I just hate his voice I love that violin player and drummer though.

Ive been to several dave shows and I enjoy myself there. He plays a lot of the old classics, but his new stuff isnt bad either. I know they became the cliche, but ive always enjoyed their music.

Jesus christ kid, being a music snob is not becoming. You know about 1/4 of what you think you know about music. Songs like Satellite, Stay, Crush, Louisiana bayou, Grace is Gone are classics. Deal with it.
