I spent hours and hours searching that site and emailing / mailing cd's

cds? I started with tapes. a few years ago I moved and threw all of my tapes away. it was a really really sad day and hard for me to do.

I bought my first dead bootleg at a flea market in nj (actually if you've ever seen mallrats, its the "dirt mall", bought my first pipe at that flea market too ).

Similar circumstances here. Saw them at Jazz Fest 1996 with family

You're so full of shite.

So by my calculations you want me to believe your family took a 7yr old kid to see Phish at Jazzfest in '96?

They would have took one look at the scene out there that day and ran as fast as they could to the nearest exit.

and don't try to tell me you had an uncle who was a dead head who loaded up the family minivan to go relive the good ole days.

God it was so hot...I'll never forget the rain starting during cavern (nasty caver). It felt so good. That was a good show. The Wolfmans vocal jam out of YEM was awesome! The Meters played right after too

In the 30 minutes prior to me yelling at my friend I didn't say a word and managed to convince myself that it was really the very first time I had ever tripped and that the last 4 years of my life were all in my head and just a part of the trip that would never end.

And this is why I quit doing acid during college. I never had a full on freak out during a concert than I can remember but I certainly had some times when I had to just sit down or lay down. My freak out of all freak outs came at a late night party, and it put an end to acid forever.

Wasn't acid, I don't lose my shite on acid. I find it much easier to interact on acid than with say mushrooms. This was on some boomers and my first ever experience of mescaline.

I just get so tired on mushrooms. I have to be able to sit down or I am miserable. I usually only take them at the hunting camp or on the beach these days.

I don't really eat any psychedelics anymore or any drugs for that matter. Smoke and drink is it for this old man

I'm the same way. I can handle my shite on acid but I can't with shrooms anymore. I though all of my friends were plotting my murder one night at my buddies house. I sprinted outside, climbed the oak in their front yard and refused to come down until they called another one of my friends to come pick me up. I was convinced they'd kill me if I came down.

That was my last mushroom trip

Well this wasn't at a concert but we were watching a Phish DVD of 10.21.95 so whatever close enough. I had never ingested mushrooms via tea and my friend suggested we do it so it would hit us faster. We had already ate a bit at this point. My buddy brews the tea, we down it, and go back on the couch.

The concert has a pretty intense David Bowie. I thought I kept thinking there was a monster in the hallway. I finally got up and investigated it. No monster.

Pretty shitty story but I've been lucky enough to not freak out. I guess I could elaborate on the DJ Shadow concert later.

ive got a good one.

last time i saw the grateful dead in 95 at giants stadium, dylan opened. well one of the people with us had seats on the floor about 20 rows back on jerry side. so we stubbed a whole bunch of us down there. everyone made it through the dylan set, but during the 3rd song of the deads 1st set, ramble on rose, my buddy looks at me, tells me hes gonna die, his eyes roll in the back of his head and he starts to fall. i catch him and sit him down on a chair. im freaking out at this point because he was only on shrooms and i ate way more shrooms than him and i had popped a tab as well. luckily there was one guy with us who wasnt tripping, he went and got a security guard. at this point the security guard took my friend and hoisted him over his shoulder and carried him 80 yards to the other end of the floor where the infirmary was. i had 4 or 5 friends that ended up there, although myself and my one buddy who had ingested as much as i had were the only 2 left by the end of the night. before the encore my buddy and i decided that if they played brokedown palace we were leaving, we wanted a rager encore. sure enought they played brokedown, we walked out and jerry died shortly there after. in my mind its like a movie, the last time i saw the dead, walking out of the show with brokedown palace playing in the background.
