If you don't like Hall and Oates you got issues. If you want to sound cool and not admit it on a message board, fine. But if you genuinely don't like their songs I don't know what to tell you.
I listen to their Greatest Hits album probably every other week. It's unreal.

Seen them when they hit big in the 80's

I love them. As I've grown older, I simply appreciate good song writing, and they were one of the best during their time.

"Sara Smiles"
"Method of Modern Love"
"Adult Education"
"Family Man"
"Out of Touch"
and several others. You're welcome

Cannot bring myself to support a group who is responsible for one of (if not the) the worst pop songs of all time.

What song is that?

That's an incredibly strong and hyperbolic statement to make considering the absolute garbage that has been passed off as "pop music" from 2000 on. Even Hall and Oates most mega cheesy 80s hits s### all over 95% of what is considered good pop music these days.

I agree.

Here's one of their cheesy MTV era hits
METHOD of modern love
Still a great sound. I probably like their cheese better now than I did in 1984. Adult Education used to get lots of play on urban contemporary stations.

the hall and oates live show at jazz fest was pretty sick i must say
that band actually jams out quite a bit. different than just listening to the recording. Hall is the man

A few years back, they issued a dvd/bluray of their return to the Tourbadour in L.A. They played acoustic guitars the entire concert, with the regular band backing them. Worth finding if you can. Is reminiscent of when I saw them at the Warehouse back in the mid-90s. Was just the two of them with acoustic guitars, with a bottle of tequila that they kept swigging from the entire concert. Was damn good.
