Yeah..... those are acts I'd love to see and I would buy Gretna Fest tickets to see them for sure, but those are all bands playing the casino circuit just like the bands Gretna Fest had this year. I don't see how that's different other than you might happen to like those bands more

well put, except this year's lineup was actually well populated with current music makers

larkin poe
govt mule
N MS all stars
tank & the bangas
grace potter
revivalists
dumpstaphunk
etc

just those right there is a killer lineup, gretna be damned

I like all of those bands way more than this year’s lineup.

To steal a Family Guy line, it doesn’t “insist upon itself”…it’s Gretna, it is what it is.

I’ll chime in and agree that it might be the most laid-back, easily accessible festival in the area. $45 for the full weekend was a bargain in festival terms.

The Port Orleans tasting room announcement (to be built at 2nd & HPL) was a nice touch of publicity during the festival as well. Long overdue on this side of the river.

Overall, excellent weekend with great weather.

this right here. I'd rather see some of the bands i listed than some that were there this year.
