Yeah..... those are acts I'd love to see and I would buy Gretna Fest tickets to see them for sure, but those are all bands playing the casino circuit just like the bands Gretna Fest had this year. I don't see how that's different other than you might happen to like those bands more

To steal a Family Guy line, it doesn’t “insist upon itself”…it’s Gretna, it is what it is.
I’ll chime in and agree that it might be the most laid-back, easily accessible festival in the area. $45 for the full weekend was a bargain in festival terms.
The Port Orleans tasting room announcement (to be built at 2nd & HPL) was a nice touch of publicity during the festival as well. Long overdue on this side of the river.
Overall, excellent weekend with great weather.
