They are a solid band, but nothing original here. They are all very, very young, so they do have potential.

The opening of Black Smoke Rising sounds eerily like a Rush tune, those vocals......wow.

GVF - Black Smoke Rising

EDIT - Sorry, saw I already posted that one.

I didn't see that one earlier, so thanks anyway for the link

And then youtube continued to play into this one

LINK

I mean i feel like they need to branch out with their songwriting a bit because without hearing the lyrics due to the bad recording - i thought this was a cover to start and its a little too close.

There's only one band in history in my opinion that was successful with a rhythm style guitarist only and no true lead and that's the Stones and its because Keith Richards is a fricking God.

Sure would have wished Mick Taylor would have stayed. The '69 to '74 era is sooooo kick arse.

The whole band is under 22 years old. They have alot of potential. Hopefully the world and the music business doesn't strangle the raw talent and joy out of them like it has so many others.

This is a really good band. I am getting this album. Check them out. I now get all the hype.

When I first heard "Highway Tune" come on the radio, I had to look it up to make sure it wasn't some long-unreleased Led Zep tune. Very impressed with these guys!

I really really wish I could go. NOLA is the closest they will be coming to us (we live in lower Alabama now)

I got my husband hooked on them after making him listen to Highway Tune. I can't wait for more new music to come out. I'll be so sad if the next ones aren't as good as the 4 on their Black Smoke Rising EP.

I just saw the show in NOLA, fricking awesome!! The place was sold out electric atmosphere. Band sounded awesome, lead guitar improving a lot, vocals insane. I'll post video later.

The lead singer is ridiculous.

Was a solid show.

If lead singer can grow into being a star they will be around for quite awhile. Last night there were moments where he was a bit like Ricky bobby being interviewed (what do I do with my hands?!?). The guitarist was much more natural on the stage so maybe it'll rub off with time.

The vocal mix was a bit off but still a really good set.

This makes me happy to hear.

I'm over in Foley AL now...I really wish they'd come over to Soul Kitchen in Mobile or Vinyl in Pensacola.

And now I feel unaccomplished
They’re all 6-8 years younger than me, playing similar, but simpler, music, and already have a record deal.

Their singer is the real deal! I’m getting Communication Breakdown vibes

This is exactly what the stale modern rock scene needs.

My band’s unveiling a new lineup with a new singer (guy’s a true front man) on October 20th at the Atomic Pop shop.

Nope, they will be ok for the next few years, but major radio will ruin their career.
