Three-part question.

Best Weird Al parody? - "Eat It"

Best Weird Al original? - "The Night Santa Went Crazy"

Best Weird Al polka? - "Bohemian Polka"

The Night Santa Went Crazy, When he says "Merry Christmas to all, now you're all gonna die!" I lose it every time . As far as his parodies, Smells Like Nirvana has always been my favorite.

Parody - Smells Like Nirvana
Original - Since You've Been Gone
Polka - Alternative Polka

Parody - White and Nerdy

Original - Nature Trail to Hell

I prefer his originals, which are pretty damn great. Marc Mothersbaugh said Dare to be Stupid is the best Devo song ever made.

I remember that. His exact quote was "I was in shock. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard. He sort of re-sculpted that song into something else and, umm ... I hate him for it, basically."

The best move by AL was having Mark Knopfler play lead guitar in the Money for Nothing parody.

Mark Knopfler actually insisted he play lead on that song. Al was pleasantly shocked.

That is pretty awesome. I didn't know he played guitar for JAs version and also didn't know this was a Dire Straights original. Very cool.

Since the summer of 1996, I've never lost my ability to recite "Everything You Know Is Wrong" verbatim. Bad Hair Day is my #2 ALbum; Off the Deep End has had the #1 spot since 1992. If Al dies, and there's a tribute concert, and I'm asked to play one song, I'm gonna play "When I Was Your Age."
