Or you are just insecure. Preferring to go a show solo has nothing to do with having good friends.

I was about to do this for Jazzfest/Phish tomorrow. But I found a buddy to come down and see them with me.

Not sure I've ever gone to a show solo. I've been to festivals with groups of people and gotten tired of that scene, so I just sort of did my own thing for a day or so.

Yea it just popped in my head b/c im going to a show in London tonight and none of the people I work with like to go out really at all. Unlike my last base.

Going solo forces you to meet new people

Spinoff question based on buying a single ticket: in the Ticketmaster e-scrum at the exact time when tickets go on sale, does specifying one ticket tend to give you worse seat selection?

Thats one hell of place to do it. I actually stayed at Space about 3 hours after all my friends left. I was so drunk I gave no fricks.

Im going to Ministry of Sound tonight

I don't think id do a big festival solo, but I met a guy at creamfields who came by himself from Northern Ireland he was cool as frick. But ended up getting beat up by a group of guys from Scotland.

As I travel quite a bit, I go to concerts all the time by myself...

The only downside is if you have a good spot, if you have to go to the bathroom, you are out of luck..

I love all kinds of music, so I always try and see what I like...

Heck, just saw Zac Brown single in Dublin last month...saw Phoenix alone in Munich past fall...etc..

Typically I will "go" by myself, though I usually end up knowing several people at the shows. Sometimes if I like a WWOOFer, I will take them along to the cheaper burn festivals.

I ended up going monday to concert alone because the wife could not make it at the last minute.
I was a little worried about feeling odd, but I had a great time.

Went to see local natives recently at the Brooklyn bowl in Las Vegas solo. Awesome show and glad I didn't miss it because no one else could go.

Shouldn't care if you are w a group of friends or solo, the experience of a great concert is what matters

I would probably rather do this, but I can't see driving all the way to New Orleans by myself to catch a show alone while lookin like a weirdy.

if it was a local or nearby show, i'd have no problems going solo....but for longer trips, i definitely want someone to come along, if for no other reason than to break the monotony of the car ride...

I always ask the folks next to me to save my spot. Then I buy them a drink ... has worked pretty well in the past.

I enjoy going alone .. The whole more freedom thing.
