...was invited by a friend to Greta Van Fleet at UNO arena.

I was going to go, but when they rescheduled it to tonight, I have a conflict. My band is performing a show tonight in Prarieville.

I only have 1 downvote to give for my country.

Taking my 16 year old daughter to this show. She’s excited about it. Me on the other hand...

They put on a great show. Just enjoy it. Good clean RockNRoll.

I'd be interested to know if they come anywhere near filling that arena. Can't see that happening.

Current view before GVF hits the stage.

Well alright...
Here is my take...and all Led Zeppelin jokes aside
...
There were a ton of high school age kids in the place—IMO, that’s a great thing. They are digging good rock and roll music and not just the R&B crap pumped out today.
The playing/musicianship—The guys in GVF are all pretty good players. Are they Stevie Ray Vaughn?...well, no. But they are very young. Give them a few more years of playing and touring and they will get even better. For their age, they play very well.
The music—the songs they write are eerily reminiscent of LZ—like every one of them. Their keyboard sounds, guitar licks, bass lines, and even intros and bridges, if played by Page, Jones, and Bonzo, could easily be a Zep tune (with a bit more arranging of course).
Even the acoustic song they did had chords that immediately reminded me of Tangerine.
So, with that, I believe they are a good band and can play well, but formed their musical foundation on Zeppelin, which is not a bad thing...but until they veer away from that, just expect every tune to sound like something that could be mistaken for a Zep tune to the person not deeply familiar with the Page/Plant catalogue.
And yes, I would pay $50 to see them again. It wasn’t spectacular, but enjoyable nonetheless.
And a side note here—some things never change...all the young high school girls all dolled up, some sporting leather skirts and too much makeup—and some even trying to grease the security guard to get backstage, brought me back 30 years when I stood in that very spot on the floor of Keiffer Arena jamming to Ratt, Judas Priest, the Crüe, Iron Maiden, Robert Plant and a bunch of others, with the girls on the floor looking like, and doing the same thing back then...God bless ‘em!!

Nice review. And I agree. I enjoy good cover bands. WE have a couple of local ones here in north Georgia that are excellent and fun to see.
I go to Brit Floyd every year and enjoy the hell out of it. The music and show is excellent.
Glad you enjoyed it.

I was at the show lastnight too and I completely agree. Had a few kids that were sitting by us so young their parents came with them to the show. You could tell they wanted to cut loose but this was probably their first real concert and mom and dad knew better
They do sound like Led Zeppelin, but if they inspire a younger generation to produce rock n roll I’m all for them. IMO the younger generation is starving for something like this and GVF gives it to them.

Saw them in 2018 at Shaky Knees and that was probably one of the most diverse crowds I've seen age wise. Also for a mid day show that crowd was massive.

I was there.
Great show. Super fun.
All you twats need to just enjoy very good musicians playing very good music.
Diverse crowd, decent weed being passed around, venue is small enough where there isn't a bad seat. FLoor crowd was rowdy but not unfun.
Had a blast and would go again.
