It's all subjective, but Queen, Van Halen, Metallica, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, The Clash, U2, Iron Maiden, Rush, Rage Against the Machine, Guns n Roses, Heart, Journey, Oasis, Tool, Aerosmith and Kiss, are all better than The Kinks and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers?

The Clash, Nirvana, and Kiss don't belong on this list.
At least they didn't include the Ramones and the Sex Pistols.

The Clash seems like a silly inclusion - at the very list way to high on the list.
No CCR is bonkers - particularly in light of The Clash. I mean, CCR should be Top 5 if not Top 3.

if your criteria is cultural impact all those bands are fine, but you’d have to add the Grateful Dead. KISS is in no way a “best” rock band but they are an institution, for example

I didn't scrutinize enough but Kinks are top 10 for me. Tom Petty i like but i give them a big pass for not in top 30.

Top 14 are solid but not in that order. After that it gets cloudy with many other bands worthy of 15 through 30 consideration.
