My favorite is the first album. I'm a big fan of the first four. Call me crazy, but I'm not as big on Zeppelin's last four albums.

Physical Graffiti is about the only LZ album that can be accused as having filler and that is all too common with a double album

I don't personally think there's any filler on there--I love both discs. I do agree that's its amazing that LZ I is not mentioned more. That's my absolute favorite.

1. LZ I
2. Physical Graffiti
3. Presence

Yes, II/IV are rock masterpieces but I thing the decades of radio overplay have made me go to the others.

it's been III for quite a while now.

I think that's me now. I go between III and Physical graffiti.

I'm at the point now where I could go my entire life without listening to anything off II & IV and be ok.

Very cool, thanks! I like hearing alternative early versions of stuff like this.

I don't think I can pick a favorite although always wonder what it would have been like to hear that 'sound' from their 1st album (i.e. I wasn't born yet then). I'm also a huge fan of their first four plus Houses of the Holy but not nearly as big on their later stuff.

I heard an interview from Page recently (from 2014) and he sort of said his favorite would be the 1st album. His reasoning was that if the 1st wouldn't have been so successful that there wouldn't have been a second, etc.

Like if I was a teenager and happened to hear 'In the days of my youth, I was told what it was to be a man...' with that incredible production quality. Then every other song on the album is top notch and might even be better live (which I never had the opportunity).
