Dream Theater - Pull Me Under & As I Am

The slow build in both is great. Plus As I Am is the most metal Dream Theater gets.

As much as I hate AC/DC, IMO Thunderstruck is a bad arse intro to a song. The timing, etc, is really difficult to hit.

I haven't seen it mentioned but I think the intro to stranglehold is awesome. Def one of my favorites.

Has to be this. What other song starts off with someone playing wine glasses?

The 11/8 bass part at the beginning of Whipping Post is pretty iconic too.
