The Dance.

Beaches of Cheyenne. Up there in saddest song discussion.

Wild Horses.

I have no idea what he wrote, if anything. If he didn't write, he is up there with George Strait on his choices for songs to record. Or the greatest writers just fell over themselves to give him their songs.

He co-wrote a bunch of his songs. I don't think he wrote any of his big hits by himself. Pat Alger wrote a lot of those, or co-wrote them with him.

Speaking of co-writing songs, I heard on the radio a few weeks back that if you add 1 word to a song, your name is on the song as a co-writer. Local sports talk guy in Nashville married a singer/songwriter.

You cats know that Shameless is a cover of a Billy Joel song right?

(And I like Garth's version of it, BTW.)

Then I will say that the mentioned song from the damned Sandra Bullock chick flick was written by Bob Dylan.

"Make You Feel My Love"??? That the title?

Yeah I always wondered how much input Garth actually had in the ones he co-wrote.

Side note: Garth gets his own station on Sirius/XM starting in September

Also I'm convinced he could release a new album with songs he didn't release as singles and it'd be #1. He has a ton of great stuff most people have never heard.

The Dance, If Tomorrow Never Comes, Friends in Low Places...all are signature songs... but these are some of my favorite Garth Brooks songs:

1. Cowboy Bill
2. Much Too Young
3. Longneck Bottle
