Voodoo Chile- Hendrix
Night life - willie Nelson , bb king
Have you ever loved a woman- Clapton
So many more these might be my favorite plus Hendrix born under a bad sign. Also Hendrix blues album is goat blues album. When I look at jimis work I know some people like to be be edgy and try and downplay his “technical” playing but listening to that album and some of his other works I think he is the best blues player of all time

I love all the stuff he talked about, but not sure that I would classify any of it as real Blues. I'm picky on my classifications.
To me, It stops being Real Blues, when you own the car that you are travelling in, or if you are flying in a jet, and nobody is trying to throw you out. At that point, you are pretty much a Blues Tribute Player.
Listen to that real old stuff, recorded by Lomax, and I think you'll agree.

I was excited about the Columbia Record Club
until it became apparent we were getting screwed by the prices

I'm not sure if this will pass the auggie sniff test but to me it seems pretty true to the spirit of the classic blues songs already mentioned in this thread.

Whichever it is, it starts in the hills and stays with the hills.
