I feel like this has been a really strong quarter for new music. I could envision any of these albums making a year end top 10 list:

1. Tame Impala-The Slow Rush
2. Caribou- Suddenly
3. Dogleg- Melee
4. Beach Bunny- Honeymoon
5. Dan Deacon- Mystic Familar
6. Porridge Radio- Every Bad

Anyone else?

Country music has been pretty slow these first few months. Its been a lot of female releases, but it does look like April and May should give us a lot of content if albums dont move because of covid.

Top 5 so far, alphabetical order

Aubrie Sellers-Far From Home
Brandy Clark-Your Life is a Record
The Lone Bellow-Half Moon Light
The Panhandlers-The Panhandlers
Ronnie Dunn-Re-Dunn

Actual country music has been awesome so far. Do yourself a favor and check out Jesse Daniel. Futurebirds also released a great record. But they’re kind of a hybrid indie rock twangy country band.

Yeah, it’s a really fun, energetic album. Not sure what tracks you listened to, but Hotlines is probably my favorite. The whole album is strong though.

Yep. If I was asked to comp them to one band, Japandroids would have been the first to pop into my head.

I didn't realize they were still recording after Guru died. Not sure how I feel about this, since he WAS GangStarr. Premiere was integral, but he left a few times and it was always Guru, even flying solo, that was the music.
