The Stranger, 52nd Street, Glass House, An Innocent Man - all great albums. Even though an album track, All for Leyna is a kick arse song as is Captain Jack.

Mariah Carey´s had hundreds of catchy its, and they never focus upon her deep pipes and warbling. Never.

Catchy, catchy tunes.

I think Elton catches. I may be wrong, but I think he´s a catcher.

I've seen him twice in concert and he played non stop for 3 hours each time. Nailed each song down to the last note too

He's the GOAT.

Only seen him once, but it was beyond epic.

Elton is a legend and very very good, but you could make a case for Billy Joel as well. It is amazing how many great songs Billy Joel had in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s. It's a close call between the two.

I really like Bill Joel's music, but no.

In fact, not just no, HELL FVCKING NO!

I was just saying not to sleep on Billy Joel's talent as a musician and song writer. I agree that EJ is better but I think Billy Joel gets unfairly overlooked in these kinds of discussions.

"MJ"

Was talented and a gigantic pop star but losing ground to EJ and others because he can only sing and dance and never mastered an instrument like the others.

I can't believe people still think this. He wasn't a virtuoso by any means but could play several instruments.
