I loved State Palace. I could just imagine how beautiful it was in its heyday. Wasn't that impressed with The Wharf. I like the fabulous fox theater in ATL.
Definitely want to to go Red Rocks.

The Gorge is awesome. Best outdoor venue I've been to.
I really like The Orpheum in New Orleans (if it is still there).

The Monroe Civic Center is bad arse!!
Growing up, it was cool as hell.
One of the cool places I've been to is the bronco Bowl, Dallas and Caravan of Dream, Ft Worth. The Majestic in Dallas is cool. Gruene Hall is the bomb.
I'd pick the Gorge to go to.

Posted these on a thread before, but the Red Rocks takes it.
Best venue in the country along with the Gorge.
From what I hear Jones Beach is great as well.

Most impressive venues I've been to:
Radio City Music Hall, Chicago Theater, Strathmore (outside of D.C.)
My favorite ever, though, was...
CBGB

Exterior: The Gorge at George
Interior: It's gotta be Tipitinas uptown NOLA where you can get right in the performers faces and they give it right back atcha! Always a treat to play and see a band there!

Coolest evening I ever spent listening to music. Small venue, star filled night and cool ocean breezes. Saw William Ackerman that night.

Red Rocks is on my bucket list. The Gorge looks amazing. There is also a really cool outdoor venue in SLC, Red Butte Garden. I saw Bela Fleck and Bruce Hornsby there for free. Basically, you can buy tickets to inside the venue, or bring an ice chest onto the mountain behind the grandstands.
The picture doesn't do it justice. I'll see if I can find some of my pictures from the show.

Go see BB. He doesn't have much longer left. I went to a benefit that was showcasing MS music at the Beau Rivage and when it was time for him to come on stage, it took a long time for him to come out of his dressing room. They had cameras backstage showing a live feed and when he came out, he was in a wheelchair and got pushed onto the stage, then he got up, took one step to sit in a chair and played maybe half of two songs. Mostly just hammed it up with his band. He seemed in bad health and exhausted just to get on stage. It was heartbreaking bc I ha no idea he was not doing well. I know he's overweight an prob has diabetes, but it seems more than that is wrong with him.

Damn i hope he makes it till then. That, along with Blue Velvets pics just swayed my decision a bit.
