May be common knowledge, butI just learned today that Grace Slick was in a band called The Great Society. Someone To Love was written by her then husband's brother, Darby Slick.

They also had a version of White Rabbit.

Maybe not what you mean but
I just learned a couple days ago that this popular song was written and sung by one of my favorite artist
Holiday Road
Am I the only one who didn’t know this?!?

Song info-
"Holiday Road" is a 1983 single composed and recorded by American guitarist/singer Lindsey Buckingham. Written for the 1983 film National Lampoon's Vacation, it was also used in the film's sequels National Lampoon's European Vacation (1985), Vegas Vacation (1997) and Vacation(2015).

The Top Notes - "Twist And Shout" (1961)

Produced by Phil Spector; co-writer Bert Bern's hated it and blamed Phil for draining all the vitality out of it

Lemme B. Good - "Good Lovin'" (1965)

The Olympics version came out about a month later and was a minor hit. The Rascals covered it the next year.

I knew about The Great Society, but never listened to them. I was an Airplane fan, though.

Take Yo' Praise by Camile Yarbrough was essentially covered by or stolen by Fat Boy Slim. The biggest wtf for me was Judas Priest covering Joan Baez's Diamonds and Rust.
