I was a pre-teen through the height of Disco, but Disco and KISS dominated my listening habits then, along with a healthy helping of 70’s soft rock.

I never understood the “Disco Sucks” stuff from rock people. I was always “why not both?”

Love me some Isley's, but I would respectfully disagree on the classification of this song. It's closer to funk, than disco, IMO In the same vein as Sly & The Family Stone and The Brothers Johnson. I know there can be some cross-over into both genres, though.

I was there. Disco sucks. The best decade of music was roughly 1966-1976. No coincidence that music overall fell off dramatically with the rise of disco.
