Saw them there a few years ago. It was decent enough. I'll go back.

Someone else just told me that about them. Like almost painfully loud?

They weren't any louder than any other band when I saw them

Got some time to kill, what's a good starter album for them? Only really ever heard "Feel the Pain".

I'll bring plugs. Sure wish I had done that in the 80s.

They have the potential to be painfully loud. I think it depends on the venue. Sometimes either you can't get the sound to work right at high volume with the way a place is shaped and other times the management might just request that they not injure the audience. They were amazingly loud at Lollapalooza '93.

Last time they played the Varsity in '09 and they sounded great; loud but not too loud. Goldilocks volume.

I will be there with bells on.

I would guess that most lifers would tell you that "You're Living All Over Me" is their best. They also have a best of compilation called "Ear Bleeding Country" that you might want to check out.

With out a doubt... one of the defining records for a young teenage TFTC...

They don't call them Dinobore Jr for nothing. One of the few bands who's recorded stuff is way better than their live shows.

I like recorded stuff better than live for every act I like except Iron and Wine.
