Deftones would be such a let down, but then again, so are most of these varsity threads.

Deftones aren't bad, but I won't be going out of my way to see the show if its them.

I saw them back in 04 on the summer sanitarium tour.

Honestly, I dont think they are any bigger than Sevendust or Shinedown playing at the Varsity... Thats just my opinion

If you are saying Deftones aren't bigger than Sevendust you are a moron.

Sevendust is playing at a little club in Broussard in February, Shinedown is headlining the River Center in March. Deftones are somewhere between that in terms of popularity.

That's disappointing...
Of course Shinedown would be that popular down here...

Worldwide it isn't even close...

They aren't headlining the River Center..

The entire tour is a co bill w/ Three Days Grace.

Shinedown's name is listed first and they have top billing on the tour posters. The may play for the same time but Shinedown is closing every show.

I said they were not bigger than those two and from what I am reading, they aren't....

Shinedown: 10m albums sold worldwide
Deftones: 8m albums sold worldwide

Deftones would be a huge fricking let down. This thread was getting hype like it would be someone at least bordering on legendary like REM, Oasis, or someone else mindblowing. Deftones would make me go "meh. Typical of Baton Rouge's music scene"

And that's what I meant by "deft ones are no bigger than Shinedown or Sevendust playing the varsity"

Lets face it, those bands are about as big as the Varsity will ever get.... There's nothing wrong with that, but its not huge

So is number of albums sold not an indicator of how big a band is???????????

Did I say anything about how good they were? No I didn't you dumb shite.

Willie Nelson has sold more than 40 million albums in the United States alone.. What's your point?
