I said I've seen deftones before and they are a great band and better musically than 75% of what's out there.... But they aren't that huge of an act for the varsity

I'm mostly being biased because I love Deftones, but I think it's pretty huge for the Varsity...

Especially considering what they usually book...although I do acknowledge that the new guy is moving things in the right direction, I haven't been thrilled with recent shows...

I saw them at Pow Wow Fest last year and they were awful.

I haven't listened to the Deftones in years, but IMO I think this is a really good get if it is indeed Defones. They rock harder than most bands and have been doing it for a while. I imagine they'd blow the walls off the Varsity.

Who would you like to see play the varsity? Keep in mind that it's 800 capacity and New Orleans is down the road....

well yeah, considering they aren't together All I mean is, I have a feeling its going to be the fricking Deftones which would be a huge letdown.
