Winter 75 - In Phillie, DJ on the classic WMMR said Springsteen was at a small club and if you want to see him at that kind of venue this might one of your last chances as he was about to get big. Tried to sneak out of the house, got caught. Born To Run was released that July.
76 - The Who in J'ville. Moon still alive. Parents said forget it. Tried to sneak out, got caught.
77 - Zep in Tampa Stadium. Went, but they came on and played 3 songs, in order, Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine and The Song Remains The Same. Then the rain came. Driving rain, torrential rain for 2 years. No one left. Rain over, announcer said that they would be back tomorrow night for 3 years of great music. Riot ensued complete with riot police/shields/billy clubs/tear gas. They didn't come back the next night. There was some speculation that the field might not be ready for football season due to the broken glass.
78 - Little Feat at the Fox in the Lowell George days. One show sold out. My roomie wanted to drive up anyway (4 hours), I said no. They added a midnight show.

wow that sucks.
Mine would be maybe INXS . I've seen a lot of concerts but they were a favorite band of mine in HS and I had dug them from early on

same here. my story about it sucks though. I was 18 at the time. They had an 8 ticket maximum buy, and my dad was in line at TM to get a full buy for his friends and me. The next day I called to see where we were sitting, and he explained to me the ticket limit and that he had to get his friends tickets and didn't have room for me. Needless to say I was furious and harbor deep resentments to this day.

xfest happened. Papa Roach, Jet, AFI, Three Days Grace, and Fall out boy came.
You sure Fall Out Boy was there? I know the Killers headlined, or was this the My Chemical Romance year?
For me it was Silversun Pickups at the Spanish Moon. Was there, but decided to leave about 10 because they didn't go on until midnight

way too many.
- 3 day stand of the grateful dead a year or so before gerry died. I didnt' like the dead at the time, and still don't but I think I would have enjoyed it. Had free tickets too, the problem was the girl who invited me was a little too clingy.
- Tool at Red Rocks - my wife hated tool, and none of my friends could have afforded it. Really wish I had gone.
- Sleater-kinney - we went but didn't buy tickets in advance, waited in line and it was sold out.
I am really bummed I didn't get neutral milk hotel tickets but we were buying a house and didn't hit the presale. But i will survive this one.

I'm just pissed I wasn't old enough to even miss out on a SRV concert. My dad had free tickets and sold them for some unknown reason and said he would catch him next time. Then the crash happened. He still gets emotional about that to this day
