You folks who like real country and/or Americana should check his show out. And seeing Vincent Neil Emerson open is a bonus.

I was going to go up to Nashville to see him last year, but couldn't make it work. He'll stop in Huntsville this time around, and I'll be there.

Saw him on my birthday at historic Gruene Hall and he put on a hell of a show.

Met him afterwards and he loved my "Who the frick is Sturgill Simpson?" shirt.

I see it’s at Chelsea’s. Is that an old venue that has opened in a new location? Or it’s the same place? I’m not familiar with it.

James Gregory is supposed to be there in a few months and that should be a funny show.

Is the show sold out? The tickets aren't available on Chelsea's website

Chelsea's was a great restaurant with a stage that once existed under the Perkins Road Overpass. They were one of the best local music venues, but closed in 2015, I think, due to issues with the landlord.

The owners of Chelsea's went on to open the Mid City Beer Hall, and I think they're part owners of Radio Bar. They've now revived the Chelsea's name in a pure music venue that is located under the Mississippi River Bridge just south of downtown between the Pastime and the Water Campus. They just had their first show to open the place last weekend, so it's brand spankin' new.

Also in the old shopping center on the corner of highland and state st. right off LSU's campus... saw many good shows there, though it was tiny (old daiquiri shop that eventually expanded into the kinkos next door).

Paradise records was closed in 2001 I believe and not really next to Chelsea’s … it was on the opposite side of the shopping center
