Why would anyone want to see STP without Weiland? shite like this amazes me. “Here’s Nirvana with Josh Rodriguez on vocals!”
It's not like I have a chance to see them with him.....It's easy for me since I get to go for free. Why wouldn't I. But even if that wasn't the case, I'd pay at least a little to go to the show. STP and Bush are the soundtrack to my middle school years.

Same here actually. Sixteen Stone and all STP up to Tiny Music were in heavy rotation in my headphones. It would have been great to see those bands around ‘94-‘96. Now I’m not so sure. I don’t even know anything Bush has done in the last 20 years.
I got into The Cult later on in my life, but Love, Electric and Sonic Temple are great albums. Hopefully most of their show is from those because I don’t know much else from their discography.
Having said all that, I wouldn’t be too surprised if I end up watching all three bands.

I saw The Cult a few years ago in the Superdome opening for Guns N‘ Roses on their Reunion tour. Astbury’s still got it and sounded good especially on “She Sells Sanctuary” and of course “Fire Woman”.

Great band called Dirty Hooks are 4th on the bill. Don't miss them, they kick arse.

Went to the show last night
STP played 5 songs then got rained out
BUSH picked up at 8:30 played great
Almost everyone left
No one wants to hear the shitty cult
I heard multiple people say “I’ve never heard of them “

Why would anyone want to see Bush with Gavin Rossdale ? STP period ?
The Cult and the trashy people watching would make this a decent summer diversion if you live somewhere with limited entertainment offerings

Went to the show in championship square tonight. Bush kicked arse. STP was on point. Left before the cult played. Not wasting my time on 80s soundtrack music

Dirty Hooks were cool. I would love to hear them in a smaller venue.
I never liked Bush but I can't say they were bad. Gavin Rossdale was arguably the biggest star on the bill but my wife was laughing her arse off because his stage moves are so gooby. He dances like nobody wants to watch.
Stone Temple Pilots were good. The new guy fits in well and Weiland was never so much of a focus that a replacement is a distraction. Downsides: They did a kind of power ballady version of Plush that torpedoed the momentum of the show. They need to go back to playing it straight. And there's no excuse for leaving Sour Girl and Days Of The Week out of the set list. They sounded good though
The Cult kinda sucked. Mostly just because of the singer. The band played great but Astbury half-assed all the vocals. They were awesome at the Varsity last time so I don't know what has happened since then. Ian needs to re-learn his job or something.

Cheese...
I agree, a couple of horrendous bands, even if it was '95...

He's been like that. It depends on his mood, his voice, the tour, etc. His voice has never lasted deep into any tour.

Next time there’s lightning in the area, I’d get below ground if I were you. Also, anyone who calls themselves a music fan and goes to see a show because they like STP and Bush, but say they’ve never heard of The Cult, are either liars or retarded.

Interesting to hear all the hate Bush gets. I really like them.
Oh well.

I heard a couple of guys behind me talk about not knowing any of The Cult songs. I thought the show was good but was more for a diverse crowd. I prefer seeing them in a smaller setting where they can connect a bit more. Don’t think Ian was bad at all. He was trying to stir up the crowd after more than 3 hours out there in the heat. Also the uneducated crowd was leaving after seeing Bush and STP. Both I thought were good. Thought Billy’s guitar was drowned out a little and couldn’t hear it at all during Wildflower.

No STP without Scott. That’s the fact, Jack
