It's a sad day when someone has to sell off their record collection to pay off bills... But I was happy to oblige and he was rewarded handsomely (also an original JSBE "Orange" pressing... on silver vinyl)

I can well remember when Husker Du was supposed to be the greatest band going at the time. They never did the first thing for me, but they were influential or inspirational to a lot of other acts I like.

Man, I'm so jealous. I'm not much of a record collector in the sense I only really care bout the music and not the item itself, but I'll admit... colored vinyl is so cool. The new Cloud Nothings album is hand-dipped and the cover art is literally a photo on photostock pasted on to the stock paper. It's a gorgeous record.

I find it funny that the OP calls the Huskers overrated when you'd be hard-pressed to find a thread on this board even mentioning them. Great band, but kids today... bunch of sissies afraid of hardcore.

Happen to think Sugar's Copper Blue is one of the best albums of the 90's. Really enjoy Bob's solo stuff...but I'm actually not a huge Husker Du fan but do really enjoy Minutemen and can see why many feel Husker Du seminal. If I have to listen to Husker Du, prefer Grants songs. "Pink turns to blue" is a fantastic track....

OTOH, I probably like a completely different batch of music than most of you other fans. Hate Hart's songs other than Don't Want To Know which I can tolerate. My favs are Flip Your Wig and Wharehouse. Makes No Sense At All and Could You Be The One are two of my all time favorite songs. I just added See A Little Light to a mix recently.
