I have that one but my favorite off that one is Rat Race.
Not sure I have a favorite. Confrontation, Rastaman Vibration, Burnin, Natty Dread. Out of those maybe Burnin.
However his box set Songs of Freedom is a must have.

The live set from the Record Factory in Sausalito is a must have too, imo. It looks like you can download it off this site. It's not a commercially sold disc/album, so it's up for free download.

Bob is the one artist that I find it almost impossible to pick a favorite for anything. I love all of his and the Wailers' albums equally. All great gifts to music.
But some songs do stand out for me:
African Herbsman
Rainbow Country
Kaya
- I have a great affinity for the Lee Perry produced stuff... basically how I was introduced to The Wailers.

Marley is pretty amazing when you think about him. They guy is THE icon for reggae music - 30+ years past his death. If you ask the average American to name a reggae artist, I would bet that 90% name him and probably 2/3 could not name another reggae artist. No other genre of music has an artist of his stature. They all have at least a couple of iconic artists. No one will ever reach his level in the reggae genre, though.

friends that call themselves music fans can only name him as a reggae artist. And most reggae fans don't even know who first coined the term "reggae".
