Few people realize how reggae developed as a result of music in New Orleans. Also, when people on here talk about great music, it's often very near-sighted. Bob Marley was, without much reasonable debate, the single most important musician of the 20th century. Some will talk non-sense about Sinatra, Elvis, or the Beattles. None of them come close to the creativity and world-wide impact that Marley had. Not even all of them put together. Marley was the 20th century's greatest musician.
