Is he worth going see? I know he is notoriously terrible in concert but I'm thinking it may still be worth it.

No. I sent my dad to see him at The Saenger a while back. He is my dad's musical hero. My dad said he was pretty bad. Only reason to go is to say,"I saw Bob Dylan live."

Like was mentioned, go if you want to be able to say you saw him. I lucked out and while i was disappointed in him, I still got to see Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp the same day.

Roll the dice, he might decide to be awesome instead of a prick.

The show in Thiboudeaux back in the 90's was BADASS with an acoustic solo set to boot.

I guess most of the others Ive seen have had a twist of bizarre to them that can be offputting as all get out.

there is one universal truth about latter-day dylan shows...that is, you will not be singing along to the hits

otherwise if he's important to you (he is to me), then you should go

Worst concert I’ve ever been to. He’s terrible live.

He is awful live, and his voice is shot to hell.

I saw him in Dallas a few years ago because Mark Knopfler was opening for him and I figured that would be worth the effort even if Dylan was as bad as I'd heard. About 25-30% of the audience left after Knopfler's set, and the crowd got steadily smaller throughout Dylan's show.

I love Dylan and consider him the best songwriter in history and a music revolutionary. Probably among the top 5 or so best American artists of any genre, and I mean beyond music.

But his live music is largely unrecognizable. Even if he plays songs you like, which he very well may not, the tempos and arrangements may be completely foreign. You can go if you want to say you saw Bob Dylan, certainly won't discourage it. But it won't be a "good" show.

Yeah, can't believe how short that list is..but he played things pretty much like I would want to hear them. Pretty rocking and upbeat. Dead tribute in there.

Knowing this in advance I kind of have fun trying to figure out what he is playing.

One of the jazz fest shows, it seemed like he was going on forever in a bizarre time sig and incomprehensible utterances, then all a sudden you can kind of make out "hey mister tambourine man"

It is what it is. His band is always top notch, and if Bob is on it's pretty damn good.

If he's not on, the word I would use is it's "frustrating" to listen to.

I've experienced both a few times. He may be my favorite musical artist of all time and I'm glad I've seen him perform, but I'd rather just kick back and listen to his vinyl these days.

For real, it's going to be a sea of man buns, patchouli, and faux lumberjacks.

Similar scenario to when we saw him. It was MMJ and Wilco who played before and then Dylan. Wish it had just been MMJ and Wilco.

I was at this same show in Atlanta and agree. The other acts killed it, dylan almost looked like a weekend at bernie's prop and jsut kinda mumbled his way thorugh. But still...I get to say I saw him.

Ha! yep that's the show I was at. We kept cracking up cause we thought he sounded like scooby-doo. But the other two shows were great. I love that amphitheater, saw Arcade Fire there as well.

Looks like it sold out pretty quick. I passed, no regrets.
