Love them or hate them they have made their mark on Rick N Roll history. More so than several, if not the majority, of the acts that are already enshrined.

Is there a certain criteria to get in? Ive heard various things and i remember Black Sabbath used to refuse entry because they thought fans should be the ones voting.

But how in the hell are some of the ones just mentioned not in? Kiss? Grand Funk? SRV? Iron Maiden basically put heavy metal on the map. Who is in charge of this??

Fyi i hate Kiss, but i agree that you cant deny the mark they made on rock music.

It's run by middle aged white guys who are still too busy jerking off to old footage from Woodstock to realize rock has moved on.

I thought the HOF had lost its purpose now that Rush is in, as the only good thing about the RnR HOF was how pissed off Rush fans were over their favorite band not being inducted in a museum so un-rock n roll it should play Rush 24/7. But now that it seems Kiss fans are pissed off over their sleight... well, that's even better.

I mean, I don't really like Rush, but they seem like really nice guys and I don't have anything against them, or their music. I don't like it, but I don't hate it either. It just exists. But Kiss? Holy shite, Kiss fans are pissed?!

Now, that's something I can truly enjoy with full schadenfreude. There's not a band on earth I despise more than Kiss, and I find their fans to be easily duped suckers who exist just to inflate Kiss' bank accounts. Kiss views its fans like PT Barnum viewed his patrons. They will do anything, and I do mean anything, to suck more money out of people. It's one thing to get rich making music. Hey, that's great. But Kiss doesn't exist to make music, they exist to make money. They are the epitome of soulless corporate sellouts.

And now their fans are upset they aren't in the RnR HOF? Awesome! Just when I thought they should close up shop now that they are no longer trolling Rush fans, they move on to a more worthy target: Kiss.

This makes my day.

Oh, and I posted it in another thread, but here's a small sampling of eligible bands not only not inducted, but never even nominated for induction:

Jan & Dean
The Moody Blues
Jethro Tull
T. Rex
Chicago
Yes
Thin Lizzy
Big Star
Hall & Oates
Barry White
Judas Priest
Television
Cheap Trick
Motörhead
Black Flag
The Cars
Dire Straits
X
The B-52's
The Dead Kennedys
Iron Maiden
The Specials
INXS
Hüsker Dü
The Replacements
Janet Jackson
Sonic Youth
Slayer
The Smiths
Soundgarden
Pixies

Nerds of the world certainly rejoiced yesterday.

Everytime I see the Volkswagen commercial where the dude is playing air drums to "Fly By Night" in his car by himself, I laugh at the fact he's in his car by himself. That's probably where he spends most of his time when he's not in his mom's basement by himself. Buncha nerdy virgins, all of 'em

I think I remember hearing there's a fairly strong contingent that wants to see the J Geils Band in there.

Its Kiss and only Kiss.

Every person out there knows the song "Rock and Roll All Night"!

Like it or not....you know it. Much more than some of the pure garbage in there now!

<------- This guy (Terry Kath) says Chicago. It's because Jann Wenner has a personal grudge against them so they're not getting in.

KISS - Very influential and a hell of a lot more deserving than many in there now.

And keep rap out of there. It doesn't belong.
