Bon Jovi opened (7-song set) for Ratt in Shreveport in Aug. '85.

Ratt was touring to support their huge Invasion of Your Privacy album.

Bon Jovi opened for most of the tour; they were promoting their second album, 7800° Fahrenheit. The next summer, they released Slippery When Wet, which spent 8 weeks at No. 1 and blew them up.

Lynyrd Skynyrd opened at a show I went to.. post Ronnie. Not sure if that counts.
Lynyrd Skynyrd and/or AeroSmith played in the afternoon at one of the all day concerts at Tad Gormley Stadium back in 74 or 75. I cant remember the headliber band maybe Eric Clapton or ZZ Top??

Then I saw Skid Row open for Bon Jovi on that tour.

My favorite, by far:

Periphery opened for Deftones in BR in 2013.

The Allman Bros. opening for String Cheese at Red Rocks. When I saw the bill, I assumed it was the other way around. I think maybe the following night they switched but the night I saw them it was ABB then SCI.

Earth, Wind, and Fire opening for Chicago (although they may have been taking turns throughout the tour)
Jeff Beck opened for Stevie Ray Vaughn-but I believe it was billed as double bill..
Crowded House opened for Richard Thompson.
