I say this Cowboy Carter crap Beyonce is putting out is not at all country music. Just because she's sensational in other genres doesn't mean she can simply put on a cowboy hat and some sparkly boots and call herself country.
Country music is authentic. Just like R&B and Soul, the listener has to feel its' authenticity. While country music these days has turned a little toward country rock, etc. it is still mostly heartfelt lyrics with a good sounding melody.
Hopefully, Beyonce's fake country music will fade with time. I'm sure you won't have a country music fan, 20 years from now, saying, "man I gotta hear that Beyonce's Cowboy Carter!"

Have you heard a single thing out of Nashville that fits this description in 30 years?

As others have said, it's as "country" as many of the new pop country stuff that has been coming out for a while. But I don't consider any of that to be country music either. It all sucks.

Just think of the outcry if Taylor Swift put on an afro wig and sang Motown songs. It’s the same thing only reversed but no one says anything about cultural appropriation.

75% of the stuff Ive heard in the last
five years has been young dudes trying to incorporate rock and/or hip hop and doing it badly…

Even that's up for debate.

If you wear a cowboy hat and boots while you sing pop, it’s country.

It’s science

Amy Winehouse caught hell because she was trying to "act black" with her soul style.
