The one thing that hasn’t been discussed is the production and mixing on Siamese Dream. It’s absolutely flawless. For a band who hadn’t broken out yet, to be allowed that kind of attention (and I hear that Billy was an absolute maniac on every note), it’s to this day one of the best engineered album I’ve heard...to go along with the wonderful music and lyrics.

Crazy that Butch Vig produced both SD and Nevermind (and Gish). You can tell a lot more work went into SD though.

I love both albums, but would have to side with Siamese Dream.
I love that fact that the Pumpkins came out with Five studio albums in the 90s and they all sounded different, but they were all either great or good. That doesn't even count the great Pisces Iscariot and Aeroplane Flies High b-side albums that were great in their own right.

Just jumping on the Siamese Dream train. Album is perfect. MC has lots of filler and I never want to listen all the way through. Siamese Dream has no weak points.
