Greta Van Fleet. They already have a band that covers all their music and tours the world named Zoso. Sometimes people pay more to see the cover band version, which seems crazy!

Thanks, I just bought tickets. They are playing in New Orleans in October. Never heard of them before.

I'll throw out a vote for Ted Leo & the Pharmacists.
Brutalist Bricks is still a great album. Hard rockin' stuff with very heady lyrics.

Those are four bands that might have been on my own list.

Periphery
Circa Survive
Good Tiger

ETA: I don't know why this band didn't come to me last night. The best non-mainstream/underground band in existence is King's X. Period, end of story.

I can't wait to hear new material. I'm glad they've accepted that their last album was a big mistake. I hope they get back to rocking. Was just listening to CWA yesterday and can't get over how good that album is.

They were the musical act on SNL in January. I'm not sure they would be considered Underground.

Don't know that they qualify as "underground" but I love The Dave Rawlings Machine.

I've recently started hearing more Tyler Childers stuff as well.

I don't get the love for tyler childers. I've listened to his stuff, trying to give it a chance, and it just sounds like bluegrass mixed with lots of hippie. Doesn't move me.

I mean, I totally understand what they were trying to do with Chuckles and Mr. Squeezy, and there were several solid songs on the album, but it should not have been released as a dredg LP.

Mo Lowda & the Humble, Liz Cooper & the Stampede, Future Thieves: a few pretty solid modern bands
Boy & Bear: they remind of Mumford & Sons except way better imo

Idk if Dr. Dog is considered underground but they seem like it. Those guys a fricking awesome
