Great live band.
I guess my definition of underground is sound wise, something more removed from the mainstream....music that sounds different than anything else. Just because a band is unknown doesn't make them an underground band IMO. And I don't know that a true underground scene can exist in an internet world, what with everything available to listen to no matter who or where. But maybe I'm just old and jaded...and I am going to see Legendary Pink Dots in a few weeks for the 5th time. Negativland is another old underground "band"...more performance art. Latley I've been digging King Krule who is not really underground. Other non-underground but lesser known bands I am listening to are Fontaines DC, Idols, Grizzly Bear, and John Congleton.

The Very Old Man came on shuffle this morning and remind me that Matt Talbot of Hum is probably my favorite lyricist of all time.
