What are some of your choices?

Up With People
j/k... Prince
I would take Up With People over shite like The Black Eyed Peas, though.

I liked Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney.

I know this is a subjective topic, but anyone that has watched the Prince halftime show, and not say it's him just shocks me.
The fact that he played THROUGH the rain with the very real possibility of electrocution (there were articles written about this), is impressive enough. Along with his customary ELITE performance.

I believe The Stones were the last actual live performance.

Prince was live the year after in Miami. You can probably count on one hand the number of times he or his band lip synced or played to background tracking over 35+ years.

Prince ,Paul McCartney ( The Who would be up there but they let them play for about 5 minutes)

Prince.
Don’t think it’s close. Closed with Purple Rain in the rain. Covered Foo Fighters? Did whatever the frick he wanted.
U2 was good as well with the 9/11 names scrolling behind them. Went straight for the heart strings so I couldn’t tell you much about their performance. It was just visually moving.
