My vote would actually go to the Pink Floyd quartet mentioned earlier but just to be different:
The Royal Scam
Aja
Gaucho
and if you want 4, you can throw on Katy Lied at the front of that group.

Gonna catch hell but
Under the table and dreaming
Crash
Before these crowded streets
Third eye blind
Blue
Out of the vein
August and everything after
Recovering the satellites
This desert life
I will submit that the music made after most of these wasn't very good, but these helped me grow musically and lyrically. It's my personal opinion, I'm sure the right answer lies within the Beatles, pink Floyd, beach boys, stones etc

I could live with that too. The only reason I didn't go that way is that the original Katy Lied was horribly mastered. Also, while I didn't care much for Gaucho at first, it has really grown on me over the years and I think it deserves a place alongside Aja.

No Mystery
Romantic Warrior
Yes:
The Yes Album
Fragile
Close to the Edge
Mike Oldfield:
Tubular Bells
Hergest Ridge
Ommadawn
Mahavishnu Orchestra and Jeff Beck had 2 great albums in a row.
Genesis probably had six/seven in a row.

Yea we've down that rabbit hole on previous threads. Something about Gaucho just doesn't cut it for me...But the 6 albums before that are great listening.
