This whole album is guitar canon

Duane Allman and Eric Clapton. Doesn't get much better than that.

A personal favorite, with a dual lead quitar solo.

As others have mentioned, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest have some good stuff.

In addition:

Ratt
Scorpions
Queensryche
Leatherwolf

someone else mentioned Racer X. You ever want to feel humbled as a musician, get your most technically proficient buddies and try to play Scarified:

The best from Layla is clearly Why Does Love Got to be So Sad.

Absolutely incredible work by Skydog and Slowhand. The rhythm section is tight as frick, too.

Amen man! the outro of it with the swirling dual lead is crazy good. With a good pair of headphones or stereo speakers, you can pick up endless combos of their playing.

Also the track "Keep on Growing" its only Clapton on that track, but in Bobby Whitlocks(the pianist for D&tD) book he talks about Clapton laying that track down with 8 layers of his guitar, just layering it one by one without hearing the previous track, like painting a grand painting in one fell swoop. Pretty tight. That's another song with endless guitar in the background to soak in.

I've read the book SKYDOG. So I know how they met.

Tom Dowd produced the album and this is an amazing video:
