Probably would consider some of these more ska and/or folk...and some of these have probably already been mentioned...but here is my list:

Pepper
Slightly Stoopid
Clear Conscience
Current Swell
The Beautiful Girls
Easy Star All Stars
Collie Buddz
Rebelution
Soldiers of Jah Army (only know "You Don't Know Me" - but I really like it)

If you like dub music download the album King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown by Augustus Pablo. It's pretty much the essential dub album, IMO

let's try this again

No problem. Apparently I like surf rock...not "true" reggae. But Current Swell is my favorite from that list. They are more folk type music...but it's great to chill to...they make some really catchy stuff.

After reading through here, it looks like alot of people confuse reggae with ska/groove reggae. Don't get me wrong, I like rebelution, slightly stoopid, dirty heads etc., but that ain't reggae.

Try rootzunderground.com. That's a Jamaican reggae band that I know a few of the members of. New school mixed with old school and some down arse, down to earth folks.

Tried pointing that out earlier. Ska depends on what era. Before the 90's, I believe you could classify that as more reggae. But really its mainly just dub or reggae influences nowadays. There are a few true reggae bands out there, but even they have a lot of modern influences in their music.

Intik and Kana are good as well, but they sing in French.
