In a dream or nightmare
When love gives way to hate
The quest begins
For the keys to the seven gates
Ride the wings of a locust
See the wizard cast his spell
Search for the keys to
The seven gates of Hell
In Heavens Hell
Where all evil dwells
And man and beast are one
Conceiled to all
Reveiled to none
Lie those infernal gates
Those damned infernal gates
The seven gates of Helllll ..
The Seven Gates of Hell/Venom
When love gives way to hate
The quest begins
For the keys to the seven gates
Ride the wings of a locust
See the wizard cast his spell

Maybe they had a ridiculous statement to make
About something they hadn't experienced
Possibly Sam had a different opinion
That nobody'd ever considered important
And damn it if Norman and Betty were listening
Somebody would have become a phenomenal
Howling lightning tampering with the
Electrical evidence shown to be relevant
Possibly with the exception of ivory
Everyone else had abandoned the obvious
Chipping away at erroneous garbage
Which definitely is as exciting as pudding
Deliciously spooned from the lap of the Ludicrous
Into the mouths of the questionless idiots
Licking their lips as their eyeballs are rolling
And flapping their tongues as they're losing their marbles
That's the way Sam's played around
That's the way Sam's played

8 pages? No.....?
"only two things in life that make it worth livin'.
Is a guitar tuned good and firm feelin' women."
Lukenbach.
Cliche' but is a damned good line.

Some folks trust to reason
Others trust to might
I don't trust to nothing
But I know it'll come out right
Or
It's not high finance,
It's called heart and soul...

Or
It's not high finance,
It's called heart and soul...

Lukenbach is a classic.

This ol' highway's getting longer
Seems there ain't no end in sight
To sleep would be best, but I just can't afford to rest
I've got to ride in Denver tomorrow night

Days full of rain, skys comin' down again
I get so tired of these same old blues, same old song
Baby, it won't be long 'fore I be tyin' on
My flyin' shoes
TVZ
Memories and drinks don't mix too well
And jukebox records don't play those wedding bells
Looking at the world through the bottom of a glass
All I see is a man who's fadin' fast.
Merle
You always won, everytime you placed a bet
You're still damn good, no one's gotten to you yet
Everytime they were sure they had you caught
You were quicker than they thought
Seger
Early one mornin' while makin' the rounds
I took a shot of cocaine and I shot my woman down
I went right home and I went to bed
I stuck that lovin' .44 beneath my head
Cash
Hear that lonesome whippoorwill?
He sounds too blue to fly.
The midnight train is whining low:
I'm so lonesome I could cry.
Hank

Took a look around, see which way the wind blow
Where the little girls in their Hollywood bungalows"

"It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside"
This is an absolutely arresting opening to a song.

Early one mornin' the sun was shinin',
I was layin' in bed,
Wonderin' if she'd changed at all,
If her hair was still red. Dylan
Jesus died for somebody's sins but not mine,
Meltin' in a pot of thieves,
Wild card up my sleeve,
Thick heart of stone,
My sins, my own,
They belong to me. Patti Smith

I watched the rain; it settled in. We disappeared for days again. Most of us were staying in, lazy like the sky.

A few I listened to this morning while jogging:
"Got a gun, 'fact I got two
That's okay man, 'cuz I love God."
"Jesus just left Chicago and he's bound for New Orleans."
"Wanna tell you a story
About a woman I know
When it comes to lovin'
She steals the show
She ain't exactly pretty
Ain't exactly small
Fourt'two thirt'ninefiftysix
You could say she's got it all."
