Mumford & SOns was around about 2008, but their breakthrough was in 2010.

I like American Bang/The Cadillac Black. They have a slight country feel to them, but they definitely rock it.

Where do they fall then?

Mumford is not Rock.
Agree. Not a fan personally.
Black Country Communion is pretty damn good though. Sheepdogs have some potential as well.

I would say folk rock.
They are awesome

Tough to say. I would say Foster the People...although I'm not sure it's true hard rock or anything but it does play on Alt Nation. Another one would have to be Arcade Fire.
Hard rock: Veer Union for me right now.

their first release was 2009, but the answer would be Dawes...

Royal southern brotherhood

The Veer Union is one of my favorites. I would also say Halestorm. Lzzy Hale is one of the best rock vocalists I have ever heard.

Royal Southern Brotherhood struck me as having a load of potential. They could really catapult into national acclaim if they do it right.
Have to work on who else since 2010. Lately have been liking a lot of Karma To Burn. They were late 90's then disbanded until 2009-10-ish. Back out on the road in Europe currently.
The Dead Weather & Them Crooked Vultures might fit in the last coupla yrs

If Foster The People counts as rock, then them.

Titus Andronicus was formed pre-2010, but that was their first full length, so I'll go with them. Surfer Blood's a great call as well. Maybe Free Energy or Mister Heavenly.
