Nah, it's close.
I give the nod to Hendrix, but Page is a better song composer and more creative (using a cello bow over guitar strings, mandolins, hurdy gurdies, etc.).
Jimmy could make his Strat do some crazy things, and you wonder how he would have branched out if he had lived longer.

Should be "better", then.

Jimi Hendrix
Jimmy Page
Music is highly subjective. These two played at a very, very high level. Obviously, Hendrix was the primary singer. While Hendrix was no slouch around the console and in developing a relatively sparse but effective set of effects, Page was a genius in that aspect of effects, arrangement, recording, etc. As far as what Hendrix was able to do with his great big hands on a six-string versus what Page was able to do, technically, Hendrix probably has just the slightest edge, winning the "sprint", so to speak. However, overall, I would say it is a wash or just because of longevity and body of work, Page wins the marathon.

Jimi was more creative, Jimmy was a better technician. There is no wrong answer.

Page.
He lived and was surrounded by a GOAT band.
Hendrix greatness must always be tempered by never seeing him grow. He’s trapped in psychedelic music. Think Page if Zepplin only made 2 albums. Or Clapton if he quit after Cream and smoked heroin until he died.
It’s impossible to think what Hendrix would have done in 1979. Hendrix Unplugged. Hendrix goes straight Blues. Basically mirrors Clapton. Just better. Derek and The Dominos. Hendrix steps in after Allman dies. They have a 5 album run.
Who knows? That’s just mental excrement I can think of without trying.

Hendrix is going to be the answer against pretty much anybody in terms of just guitar player. In a live situation if they both were on stage it would be quite evident
Page the better composer.
Page the better composer.
