Any genre.

I'll start with Oblivion - M83 (cover by Floor Jansen).

Even if you are already a Floor Jansen fan from the band Nightwish, if you haven't heard her rendition of Oblivion - M83, be prepared to be blown away by her voice.

Patsy Cline - Faded Love

If a male listening to this who doesn't feel a jangling in his privates, he needs to go to the Soccer Board.

Shout out to a New Orleans singer. I always loved the way she did this song. Not so much fantastic singing, but perfect phrasing and getting the feeling across. The guitar wasn't bad either.

Let me help this thread out.

Venus - Mariska Veres & Shocking Blue - Live @ Top of the Pops 1970

Mariska. Yeah baby, she's got it.

King and Lionheart - Nana (guitar & vocals) & Ragnhildur (trumpet) - Of Monsters and Men

Also

Interesting fact: Mariska (Netherlands) and Nana (Iceland) neither spoke/speak English as a first language but sang/sing in English. Mariska originally did not speak English at all and sang phonetically. It's amazing how smooth she was.

Here's another great female vocalist that you may not know. Anna Murphy from her current band Cellar Darling (and formerly with the band Eluveitie).

Incredible haunting voice....

I think it was this board where I learned about the late Eva Cassidy.

First Aid Kit covers Simon and Garfunkel “America”

It’s a cover, but I think if you can make Paul Simon tear up then it deserves to be on the list

Mariska Veres was easily one of the most gorgeous and sexy lead vocalists to come out of the 60’s. I’d drink her frickin’ bath water (in the 60’s).
